A New Cabinet Has Been Inaugurated.

The Reverend Toshimasa Okanari has been appointed the Chief Administrative Director on July 25th, 2012.
His cabinet members are:

“As a person who is allowed to live between Heaven and Earth, I value the ideas of “Live together” and “Be helped together.” I am mindful of people who suffer from hunger, poverty, sickness and are socially weak. I pray earnestly that all people can live and be helped as Kami’s children, regardless of their nationality, race, or language. And I also pray that true world peace and prosperity will be realized.”

The Konkokyo Independence Service

The Konkokyo Independence Service was conducted by the Spiritual Leader, Konko-Sama, in the Grand Ceremony Hall on June 10th, 1:30 p.m. This Service honors the official recognition of Konkokyo as an independent religious organization. During the Service the appointment of new ministers was also conducted.
This Service was followed by a General Assembly on The Faith Movement: “Let Us Live a Mutually Fulfilled Life With Kami”

Reverend Mitsutoshi Sato, the Chief Administrative Director of Konkokyo, passed away at 13:10 on April 29th, at the age of 62.
His funeral service was conducted on May 1st and 2nd. The Konkokyo Headquarters held a 30th-day farewell memorial ceremony at the Grand Service Hall on May 27.
The entrance ceremony for incoming Konkokyo seminary students was held.

The entrance ceremony for incoming Konkokyo seminary students was held on May 15, at the Konkokyo seminary worship hall. The class of 42 students (25 male and 17 female) are beginning their year long course of study.

The Lancaster Church Has Been Established!

On September 28, 2011, the Konko Church of Lancaster was established, receiving official approval from Spiritual Leader of Konkokyo. The opening ceremony will be celebrated on July 29, 2012.

Konkokyo Kyoten Gorikai I Addendum Published

This book is an English translation of the Konkokyo Kyoten Tsuiho, published by Konkokyo Headquarters in 2004.
Kyoten is the Sacred Scriputure of Konkokyo. Kyoten Gorikai I is a collection of teachings passed down in writing or dictated by believers who heard the teachings directly from Konko Daijin, the founder of Konkokyo. The original text of this addendum was from twelve believers, discovered after the Konkokyo Kyoten was published in Japanese in 1983.

Konkokyo Headquarters held an annual meeting for ministers' children from August 15 to 20. Usually held at Konkokyo Headquarters, this year's meeting was held in the Philippines. There, the children participated in a study tour, which was designed to give them firsthand experience in seeing how people are suffering in the world.
